Bakota Bay

0 3 0

Located just 55 km from Kamianets-Podilskyi, it captivates with its tranquility, picturesque views, and a unique sense of serenity. This freshwater bay was formed in 1981 when the waters of the Dniester flooded the ancient village of Bakota — a settlement with centuries of history that now rests beneath the surface.

The bay is part of the Podilski Tovtry National Nature Park and is recognized as a wetland of international importance. Its shores are covered in lush greenery, towering cliffs rise tens of meters high, and the air is filled with the scent of steppe herbs and the soothing sound of waves and seabirds.
