About the location

This little Black Sea pearl was an important stopping point on the famous trade route called “From the Vikings to the Greeks,” which followed the Dnipro-Buh estuary.

This is where the first Greek settlement in the northern Black Sea coast was established in the 6th century BC. Today, Berezan is not only a popular tourist destination, but also a permanent archaeological center that attracts archaeologists, geologists and geographers.
