About the location

Built in the XIX century by Joseph Vintsentiyem Plater and rebuilt after a fire (1831) in 1850 by Wlodzimierz Potocki.

In the second half of the 19th century, when the house was built, the distribution of streets and house numbers did not exist. Construction borrowed its name from the owner. Thus, new-built palace got its name. Homestead virtually managed to maintain their housing assignment until today. Since the second half of the 20th century there is a boarding school for mentally retarded children. Interestingly, Potocki Palace - one of the few buildings owned by just one family.
