Cossack church of the Holy Virgin, built in the years 1701-1702 on the initiative of Ivan Mazepa and the Cossacks Zachariewicz Pereyaslavsky bishop-monks in monastic tract Monastyrok under the mountain.
The church was an integral part of the ancient monastery Kanev, which buried the famous Ukrainian Hetman Ivan Pidkova, Yakiv Shah, Samiilo Kishka. Near the church May 20, 2014 a monument to Cossack Ataman Ivan Horseshoe. The memorial glorious hetman Ivan Pidkova and to all Ukrainian Cossack knights who found, as later Taras Shevchenko eternal rest on Chernecha mountain.
