Manyavsky Skyt

Founded in 1608 pupils Athos Yovom Kniahynytskyi and John Vyshensky. 1621 Diploma Stauropegic Skit received from the Patriarch of Constantinople, which essentially meant the direct subordination of the monastery of Constantinople, and this was a unique case in the history of the Orthodox Church. It is assumed here that buried the Hetman Ukraine Vyhovsky. Now Manyavsky Skit – austere monastery of the Eastern rite ( "Ukrainian Athos"), an outstanding center of spirituality, culture and art. This is a sacred place of healing spring water in the picturesque Carpathian Mizhhiria of healing microclimate. Now it is renovated ensemble of stone and wooden buildings enclosed by high stone wall with towers and battlements – successful synthesis of steep terrain and fortified buildings.
