The monument was opened in October 2009. The author of the composition was the Canadian Mennonite Paul Apple. The memorial is dedicated to the memory of the Mennonites, who fell victim to Stalin's repressions and religious oppression in the 1930s. The monument turned out extremely touching. The monument consists of 3 granite slabs. On each plate an image of a man, a woman and two children is cut out. According to the author's intention, the monument is a bookshelf with photographs of which they were torn out of their heroes.
