In the early twentieth century every summer Kryvorivnya became "Ukrainian cultural capital." Ivan Franko lived and worked in the village every summer for 12 years, his house now contains literary-memorial museum of the writer. Now the village is the site of several ethnic festivals, and the people themselves demand village a status of "village-museum".
