Talmud-Torah

In 1904 the building of the Jewish school «Talmud-Torah» was built. Specifically, «Talmud Torah» was the primary educational institution for orphans and poor children.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, they were taught practical skills – crafts. In the complex of buildings, which is now occupied by the district tax inspection, at the beginning of the last century there were still a number of educational institutions. For example, the Hekker private Jewish school, as well as the heder – a religious school for Jewish boys. Representatives of the Jewish community of the city were trained here. In it, we note, almost one third of the population of Olexandrivs'k entered.
