Ustymivsky Dendrological Park of National Importance

In 1893, the landowner Ustimovich himself drew up a plan for the future park, and all garden work was carried out by local peasants. The dendrological collection of the reserve has a very rich range of exotic trees and shrubs.

A large number of valuable exotics (aged 50 to 75 years) and 476 species, varieties, forms, varieties and hybrids. The total number of trees and shrubs in the park exceeded 12 thousand. Particular attention is drawn to such extraordinary ornamental plants as silver prickly spruce, blue, as well as various species and forms of thuja. Very valuable decorative species of linden, yellow cladrastis, decorative hazel (bear nut). Almond grows in the park and is known in culture as a fruit tree before our era in Asia, and later — in Europe. Ustymivka Arboretum is a center of scientific and educational work.
