Its history began in 1793, when the French architect Muffo designed the park's master plan. Later, renowned architects and gardeners — Botani, Stange, Bartecki, Witt, and Jens — contributed to its realization. They successfully integrated the area's natural beauty with refined landscape compositions.
Rare plants were brought in from Poland, other European countries, and even overseas to enrich the park's flora. At the same time, construction began on the Branicki family's summer residence. The central building, known as the "Austeria", was initially a summer estate but later became a year-round residence. Nearby stood a complex of pavilions, including the Royal Pavilion and the Ballroom.
The main palace was once surrounded on the north, east, and west sides by administrative and utility buildings, enclosing a courtyard measuring 92×74 meters. Unfortunately, these structures were destroyed during the turbulent events of the 20th century and have not survived.
Today, Dendropark "Oleksandriya" stands as not only a prime example of classical landscape park design, but also as an important cultural and historical site, blending architectural heritage, botanical richness, and natural beauty.
