The complex of apartment buildings on the Hoholya street was created in XIX – XX century by architects Vlodek and Landesman. Houses belong to the family of Faltz-Fein, founder of the reserve "Askania Nova". House with the Atlanteans gained the most fame because of its statues by sculptor Fishel. The figures of the mighty Atlanteas, bent under the weight of the stellar globe, became the hallmark of Odesa. In front of the house you can also see the Atlantis supporting a balcony.
