Based on the local version of the legend "Song of Shandar" created the drama "Stolen Happiness". Here was born Franko's girlfriend Olga Roshkevych (1857-1935), who became his first love. Olga Roshkevych translated the novel of Emile Zola "Sledgehammer", collected folklore materials about wedding ceremonies which were published in 1886 by Ivan Franko. Franco dedicated to her some poems. Lolyn was also visited by Michael Pavlik, who along with Ivan Franko studied the life of local peasants. In 1956 a monument to Ivan Franko was set in the village, and a literary-memorial museum room (1981) was established at school. The Franko's Museum was founded in 2004. It is located in center of the village Lolyn. The interior of the museum is enriched with authentic Bojko's household antiquities, the musical instruments and old clothes are also exhibited. Visitors can view Bojko's old traditions and customs, typical in times when Ivan Franko stayed on the territory of Dolynschyna (1874-1876).
