About the location

The museum was opened April 23, 1972. It was founded by the organizer and enthusiast Vasily Kovalenko.

From 1972 to 1990 the exhibition was located in the Assumption Cathedral (XII century architectural monument.). In 1990, a museum located in the former home Bazylianskoho school, which is an architectural monument of the XVIII century. The museum includes about 5000 exhibits. The most valuable items: clothes, carpets, towels, textiles, folk painting, art glass. Products of the modern masters glassblowers, carpenters wood, artists are also many in the museum's collection.
