Koliivshchyny Square

Koliivshchyny Square is one of the smallest yet most atmospheric squares in Lviv, hidden in the very heart of the old city between Brativ Rohatyntsiv Street and Staroievreiska Street.

In the past, it was part of the Jewish quarter, and its main treasure was a 17th-century well that supplied water to the surrounding residents and even became the cause of city disputes. Today the square is a cozy space with a small park, historic cobblestones, and a modern interpretation of the old well that reminds visitors of Lviv’s layered history.
