The majestic Holy Dormition Church in Gadyach was built on voluntary donations from local residents and businesses. Then, on April 24, 1998, he was consecrated by His Eminence Theodosius, Metropolitan of Poltava and Kremenchug. The cathedral became the spiritual center and decoration of Gadyach.
Today, the Holy Dormition Cathedral in Hadiach carries out catechetical, educational and missionary work, provides assistance to the local boarding school for the elderly, and also has an initiative group of pilgrims. The temple's library of religious literature has about 500 volumes. In 1997, the image of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was reflected on the glass of the icon. Believers claim that the impression on glass has the same strong energy as the icon itself. It also gives off warmth if you bring your hand to it. People are unable to explain the miracles that take place in their cathedral, but they are sure that this is how the Lord manifests his grace.
