Age of the tree- more than 1000 years, height - 30 m, trunk circumference - 9 m. This unique old oak named after the legendary leader of Gaidamak units of Koliivshchyna period - M. Zalizniak is situated in the natural cold Yar ravine on the slope of Kyrykivskiy ravine near Buda Khutir. Oak of Zaliznyak is considered "patriarch" ofthe Ukrainian forests. Oak patriarch because of its venerable age has no acorns, it also survived for 6 lightning strikes. Under its tent there had rest Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Severin Nalivaiko, Pavlo Pavlyuk, Maksym Zaliznyak, Andriy Zhurba, Semen Nezheviy, Taras Shevchenko and others. Now National Historical and Cultural Reserve "Chyhyryn" takes care of the oak.
