"Kharkiv Polissya" is how the Slobozhansky National Natural Park can sometimes be referred to. Located in the basins of the Merla and Merchik rivers, it has its highlight – the marshy "saucers", which are typical for Polissya, but are rare for arid forest steppes. The ruling masters of these places – beavers, which are at the same time the symbol of the park.
