Мore than a hundred years ago there was the Institute of noble Maidens located on Instytutska Street. Though, it didn’t stay here for a long time. But the building in which the girls used to study, have survived - if you look towards the Khreshchatyk street, it is visible from here, a large yellow-white building with white columns, now known as the October Palace. Instead of the institute, the International Center of Culture and Arts was organized here.
