The cathedral has a basilica form, a high Gothic bell tower with a round-table socket in the second tier, which is crowned with a spire.

About the place

The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1892

on the donations of Kharkov Roman Catholics of different nationalities. It`s decorated with stained-glass windows made in the traditions of medieval Gothic, bronze statues of the first apostles and colorful frescoes.
