The Cathedral stands on the University Hill on the banks of the Lopan River; it can be seen from any corner of the city center. The bell tower of the Cathedral, built in the neoclassical style, was constructed in the 1685-1687s, and the height of the whole building is 90 meters. By the twenty-first century, the cathedral was considered the tallest building in the city. After the restoration of 1980, the House of Organ and Chamber Music was opened in the Cathedral. For this purpose, an organ made in Czechoslovakia was installed.
