A wellknown ukrainian writer, poet and public figure Ivan Franko often visited the village Lolyn. Here he wrote the story "Collier", "Servants of Lesyshyn ", "Two friends", some sections of the story "Petriyi Dovbuschuky", poem "Galagan".
